Managing QOVF Group Finances
Learn the nuts and bolts of managing QOVF group finances. We’ll cover group finance requirements, reports, and tips and tricks to best manage your group’s finances. Feel free to come with your questions and tips to share. Michelle Nelson, QOVF Finance Director and Ann Rehbein, QOVF Treasurer and former QOVF Executive Director will host this informative session.
Quilt Rescue 101
Join Mary Kerr, QOVF Board Member, as she covers the basics of restoration and repair. Together we can address those quilt mishaps that occur when we least expect it. How can we use our skills to save the day AND our quilts.
All Star Quilts of Valor Book Review: Tricks of the Trade
25 well known designers donated their time and talent to create our latest QOV book and exhibit. Join Mary Kerr as she shares some of the tricks and fast piecing techniques from our fabulous team. Books will be available in class and at the QOV store during the conference.
Quilting on the Homefront
Record of our nation’s military can be traced back to the Revolutionary War. This presentation features quilts and their makers in support of our nation’s Army, Navy, Army Air Corp, Marines and Coast Guard. As quilters for Quilts of Valor, you too, are making American quilt history as you comfort those who served. Hosted by Sue Reich, QOVF Board Chair, quilt appraiser and historian.

Learn tips and tricks to make fundraising profitable and fun for your QOVF group. Christine Hurley, QOVF Indiana State Coordinator, shares her best tips and tricks to give you a fresh look and inspire you to raise more for your QOVF group.
Scrap Planning and Cutting 1– Using Strips and rectangular scraps with Lisa Sutherland
Want to make more QOVs? Got scraps? Make more QOV quilts with a plan. Don’t know what to cut or what to do next? Some ideas and quilts to use your fabric scraps and plan for more quilts. Will provide a pattern to attendees along with a scrap cutting handout. My goal is always the same – make more QOVS to award more QOVs.

Quilters Alliance
Amy Milne with Quilters Alliance will be on hand to record QOVF quilters’ stories and memories. The Quilters Alliance was established in 1993 with a mission to document, preserve, and share our American quilt heritage by collecting stories from quilters across the U.S. We invite all attendees to share their quilt stories with Amy.
